Beci Orpin is an artist, designer and illustrator in Melbourne.
Beci exhibits her work both locally and internationally, including solo exhibitions in Melbourne, Sydney and New York. She has been a key-note speaker at various conferences, including Semi-Permanent and Adobe’s Make-it. She also frequently teaches workshops for both children and adults.
Beci’s work currently finds itself in a space between illustration, design and craft. It has been described as colourful, graphic, bold, feminine and dream-like.
I always start with colour for my projects so a raspberry red was an obvious choice for the Tinnie’s art, with Sour Raspberry being the flavour note in this beer. I added other colour reminiscent of 70’s summer – orange, purple, and aqua blue to represent the fresh summer ocean. Overall the design is fun and nostalgic whilst still being representative of the summer fun we still enjoy every year!”
